The FOSC 400 C and FOSC 450 C closures are new additions to the FOSC family of closures and add new capabilities to the popular line of FOSC 400 and FOSC 450 closures. These butt style closures are designed for applications requiring large splice capacity in space restricted areas. The C closures incorporate wide, perimeter fiber storage trays in closures measuring 23" long by 11.5" diameter. Those familiar with Tyco Electronics’ D size closures will note the C combines a D closure style base with the new shorter C size trays, baskets, and dome.

In addition, combining the C and D closure styles creates an excellent set of closures to meet most butt style closure needs. The 400 C and 450 C closures share the same cable attachment hardware and related accessories FOSC 400 C / FOSC 450 C Fiber Optic Splice Closures as their 400 D and 450 D closure counterparts, thus allowing customers to realize savings and efficiencies versus carrying two different hardware types. Training is also simplified, as cable preparation dimensions, etc. are the same between the two styles of closures.
